Pre-project meeting: It is recommended that you make an appointment to tour the studio and meet with the engineer to discuss your project so that we can estimate the scope and cost.
Booking & Fees: Please email or call for rates. There is a four-hour minimum for all studio sessions. When you're ready to book the studio, a 20% deposit is required at the time your session is booked so that we can reserve the time for you and stock the kitchen. If you must cancel and can provide at least 48 hours notice, your entire deposit will be cheerfully refunded! If you must cancel the day before your session half your deposit will be refunded. If you cancel on the day of your session or are a no-show, the deposit is forfeited. For multiple-day projects, 50% of the total estimated fee is paid at the start of your first session, and the balance of the fee is due at the completion of your project. Completed recordings and ProTools sessions will be released to you upon payment in full. The hourly and daily studio rates you are quoted are for recording sessions. Mix fees are charged on a per-song basis after the recording is complete and are calculated based on the number of tracks in each song. We offer convenient payment methods, including Paypal and all major credit cards which can be processed right from your smartphone or computer.
Sessions
Times: We know you want to get the most out of your session and stay in budget, so please try to be on time, as your billable hours begin at the scheduled appointment time.
Control room: We respectfully request that there be no food or open beverages in the control room or around any of the equipment. Bottled water with closeable caps or other similar types of beverage containers are preferred for inside the control room. We have a comfortable kitchenette/lounge area for other food and beverage items.
Smoking: There is no smoking of any kind inside the studio, however you are free to step outside to smoke if you want.
Refreshments: We will do our best to have the kitchen stocked with bottled water, softdrinks and light snacks for your session, all complimentary, of course! The studio can provide catering runs for other food and beverages if you request it, at no charge, however the cost of the catering items must be paid directly by the client at the time of the pick-up or delivery.
Guests: We have a lounge area with complimentary wireless internet, plasma HD TV, dining table, refrigerator and microwave for your guests to be comfortable while you are working.
Music delivery: A CD with your music bounced to mp3 or wav format will be provided at no charge. The studio will provide you with your ProTools master session on a DVD if it fits. If the master session exceeds the capacity of a DVD, you will be required to provide your own media (disk drive) to take the ProTools sessions with you. Completed projects will be released to client upon payment in full.
Miscellaneous
The session hours: The typical full-day session is usually a 12-hour day, beginning at whatever time works best for those involved and according to the time established when the session is booked.
Drums: Drums in the live-room are restricted to after 7:00 p.m. on weekdays or anytime on weekends.
Parking: The building has valet parking and they charge $3.75 per hour or max of $12.50 per day, Monday-Friday during normal business hours. Weekdays after 5:30 p.m. and weekend parking is free.
